A Family Heritage. A Personal Journey. A Trusted Name in Hand Block Printing.
The story of Pushpendra Doraya, Founder & Director of Sakshi International Pvt. Ltd., is rooted in the traditions of Sanganer, Jaipur, and shaped by a commitment to craftsmanship, professional values and long-term relationships.
My journey began long before I founded Sakshi International. It began with my father, Late Shri Madan Doraya, whose dedication to craftsmanship introduced me to the traditions, skills and values that continue to shape my life and work.
Born in Sanganer, Jaipur, I grew up surrounded by traditional Indian craftsmanship and the artisans who keep these skills alive. My path brought together this heritage, my background in finance and my ambition to build an independent business in hand block printing.
Today, Sakshi International reflects that journey—a business shaped by experience, guided by professional values and strengthened by the trust of its customers.
The craftsmanship and values passed down by Late Shri Madan Doraya continue to inspire my journey.
My roots are in Sanganer, Jaipur, a place known for its rich textile traditions, skilled artisans and generations of craftsmanship. Growing up in this environment gave me an early appreciation for the patience, precision and dedication required to create something by hand.
My father, Late Shri Madan Doraya, began his journey in Jaipur Blue Pottery in 1978. He was an accomplished craftsperson who devoted himself to learning and developing his skills. In time, he also developed deep expertise in hand block printing and established a separate business and factory dedicated to this craft.
Through his work, my father taught me that craftsmanship is about much more than the finished product. It represents knowledge passed between generations, respect for skilled hands, attention to detail and the determination to preserve something valuable.
His values of dedication, patience, integrity and pride in one's craft became an important part of my own approach to business. His legacy gave me my first connection to craftsmanship; building my own business gave me the opportunity to carry those values forward in my own way.
My education and early professional experience introduced me to finance, analysis and business. In 2006, I completed my MS (Finance) from ICFAI University. I later earned the CFA charter, further strengthening my understanding of financial discipline, business decisions and long-term value creation.
My background in finance taught me the importance of planning, accountability and looking beyond immediate results. At the same time, I remained connected to the craft I had grown up around.
In 2009, I started my own venture in hand block printing. This was an important step in my life: moving from an appreciation of my family's craft heritage to building an independent business around a skill I deeply respected.
The journey taught me that building a business is not only about creating products. It is also about developing reliable processes, earning trust and maintaining a clear sense of purpose.
A business shaped by traditional craftsmanship, professional discipline and customer trust.
In 2015, I founded Sakshi International Pvt. Ltd. with a clear focus on hand block printing and a commitment to combining traditional craftsmanship with professional business practices.
My vision was to build a business that respected the skill of artisans while meeting customer expectations through quality, consistency, communication and reliability.
Over the years, Sakshi International has established its own identity in hand block printing. The respect and trust we have earned among our customers reflect the confidence they place in our work and our commitment to responsible business relationships.
My background in finance continues to shape my approach to business decisions and planning. My connection to craftsmanship reminds me that product quality begins with the people, skills and care behind it.
Respect for traditional printing skills and the people who preserve them.
A professional approach to work, attention to detail and customer expectations.
Building lasting business relationships through integrity and communication.
In 2011, I married Neha, and in 2014, we welcomed our son, Lohitaksha, into our lives. Becoming a husband and father gave me a deeper sense of responsibility and strengthened my commitment to building a meaningful future for my family.
In 2017, I lost my father, Late Shri Madan Doraya, whose dedication to craftsmanship had deeply influenced my journey. In 2020, I lost my mother, Late Smt. Bhagwati Devi. Losing both my parents within a few years was one of the most difficult periods of my life.
During this time, I had to navigate personal loss while continuing to fulfil my family responsibilities and manage my business.
My younger brother, Devendra Doraya, stood by me through these challenging years, supporting me in both my personal life and my business. His support helped me continue moving forward and reminded me of the importance of family unity and standing together through adversity.
These experiences strengthened my determination to carry forward the values my parents instilled in me, honour the support of my family and continue building Sakshi International with commitment and purpose.
A craft built on skill, patience, precision and the human touch.
The tools behind traditional printed patterns.
Skill and precision in every impression.
Careful preparation for the printing process.
Traditional techniques expressed through design.
I believe traditional craftsmanship can continue to thrive when its heritage is respected and its practice is supported by responsible business management. Preserving a craft does not mean resisting change; it means ensuring its skills and traditions continue to have a meaningful place in the future.
The journey of Sakshi International Pvt. Ltd. has included important milestones that reflect the company's development and its commitment to craftsmanship and professional business practices.
The company received the Global Excellence Award in 2018 and the Atal Achievement Award in 2022. These recognitions form part of Sakshi International's journey.
I value these achievements as encouragement to continue working with dedication and purpose. A company's reputation is also built through the quality of its work, the trust of its customers and the relationships it maintains over time.

I also hope to create a strong foundation for the next generation—one built on integrity, resilience, professional discipline and respect for the traditions that shaped my journey.
When I look back at my journey, I see the influence of my father's craftsmanship, the foundation provided by my education, the decision to start my own venture in 2009 and the establishment of Sakshi International in 2015.
My father's legacy introduced me to the values of craftsmanship. My own journey has been about building on those values through an independent business focused on hand block printing.
As I look to the future, my commitment remains clear: to work with integrity, respect the artisans, value our customers and continue building Sakshi International with a long-term vision.
True craftsmanship is not only about what we create. It is also about the values we uphold, the trust we earn and the future we build through our work.
